The Story of the Wooden Salad Bowls
We have a set of wooden salad bowls. I'm not sure why, maybe because it seems a little different, but salad is just better in a wooden bowl. Our children always loved to get to eat out of the wooden bowls. I thought the wooden bowls were safe at our house. Afterall, nothing gets put in the dishwasher without deliberate action! But, somehow, the wooden bowls landed in the dishwasher. Not a good location for any wooden ware. To make matters worse, they were left in the dishwasher for quite some time. Periodically, I would get them out and try to repair the damage. I could never throw them out part because of being a pack rat and part because we loved them so much.
