A china cabinet, is a bookcase like piece used for displaying china. China cabinets have glass fronts and sometime side glass panels. A hutch contains cabinetry intended to provide display space with a surface for serving. Many hutch styles have less display area than china cabinets. Some hutches have a removable top with legs supporting the front of the top portion, as illustrated in the photo above.
